Thornton-Fillyaw Places Second at Coach Caslin Classic
TOWSON, Md. - First year Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw (Bethesda, Md. / Cheverly STEM Education Center) of the Goucher College women's cross country team finished second as the Gophers hosted the Coach Caslin Classic Saturday morning.
Thornton-Finlaw, who finished second for the second time this season, recorded a 6K time of 25:18.4. She has recorded three top-10 finishes in four events.
Sophomore Reese Finnigan (Dallas, Texas/Grapevine) was the second-highest finisher for the Gophers, posting a time of 28:57.6. Jordyn Altieri (Vista, Calif. / Vista), making her collegiate cross country debut, posted a 29:20.1 to finish 21st overall. Maria James (Westminster, Md./Westminster) rounded out the Gopher finishers with a time of 29:51.6.
Goucher is now idle until it hosts the 2022 Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 29.
