Gophers Place Sixth at Landmark Championship
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College women's cross country team place sixth at the 2022 Landmark Conference Championship hosted by the Gophers on Saturday morning at the John R. Caslin Course.
First year Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw (Bethesda, Md./Cheverly STEM Education Center) paced the Gophers by finishing 24th overall. She posted a 6K time of 24:52.2, bettering her time on the same course by over 26 seconds from three weeks ago.
Sophomore Sophie O'Connor (Shorewood, Wisc./Shorewood) came in 43rd with a time of 26:07.3. Reese Finnigan (Dallas, Texas/Grapevine) traversed the course in a time of 28:46.0, bettering her October 8 mark by 11 seconds, while Maria James (Westminster, Md./Westminster) improved 10 seconds from the October 8 meet to finish at 29:41.0. Skye Washington finished in 33:40.3.
