Morgan, Nolan, May Honored by Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Coaches
Jacob Morgan and Sean Nolan Named Second Team, Tyler May Honorable Mention All-Conference
TOWSON, Md. - Three members of the Goucher College men's lacrosse team have been named to the 2024 Landmark Conference All-Conference teams selected by the conference's head coaches and announced Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore attack Jacob Morgan and senior defender Sean Nolan were each named to the Second Team, while junior midfielder Tyler May was an Honorable Mention selection.
Goucher's three All-Conference selections are its most since having four players honored in 2018, and its first selections since 2019.
Morgan, who was the Landmark Conference's Rookie of the Year last season, led the Gophers in scoring for the second straight season, totaling 34 goals and 27 assists for 61 points. He scored a goal in all 15 games in which he appeared this past season, and scored multiple goals on 10 occasions, including in six of nine Landmark Conference games. Morgan currently leads the Landmark Conference in points per game and ranks No 4 in assists per game and No. 7 in goals per game. He has totaled 62 goals and 56 assists for 118 points through his first two seasons. Morgan was also an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection for the Gopher men's basketball team this winter.
Nolan, a three-year starter on defense, played in all 17 games this spring and recorded 42 caused turnovers and 44 ground balls, leading the team in caused turnovers and ranking second in ground balls. He recorded multiple caused turnovers in 13 contests and currently ranks No. 2 in the Landmark in caused turnovers per game. Nolan has recorded 99 career caused turnovers, placing him tied for fourth in Goucher program history.
May appeared in 17 games with 15 starts for the Gophers in his first season with the program. He tied Morgan for the team lead in goals with 34, while registering 11 assists for 45 points to place him second on the team in point production. He recorded a point in all but two games in 2024 and posted 10 multi-goal games on the season. May recorded a season-high five goals in wins over Wilkes University and Juniata College.
The Goucher men's lacrosse team finished 9-8 in 2024, earning its most victories and finishing above .500 in a full season for the first time since 2018 and recording a four-win improvement from 2023.
