Goucher Edges Out McDaniel on the Road

WESTMINSTER, Md. - The traveling Goucher College Gophers (2-0 Overall) traveled to face the Green Terror of McDaniel College (1-2) in a regional matchup. The Gophers used a strong denfensive effort in the fourth quarter to secure the 9-7 win.
- McDaniel opened the scoring in the first quarter with four unanswered goals in the first seven minutes of the contest.
- Despite the early lead, Jack Smith added eight saves in the first quarter.
- Gianni Karam put the Gophers on the scoreboard just a minute and a half into the quarter off an asisst from Jacob Morgan.
- Karam and Morgan teamed up again four minutes later to add another for Goucher.
- Jason Fritz from McDaniel scores an unassisted goal to add to the Green Terror's lead (6:33).
- Milan Temple responded just a minute later, to bring th Gophers within two, as Morgan adds another assist in the contest.
- With 2:01 left on the clock Tyler May adds his first of the season to the board off an unassisted goal.
