Diabagate's Golden Goal Lifts Gophers to 2-1 Win at Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Yaya Diabagate (Hyattsville, Md./International HS at Langley Park) scored 3:21 into overtime to lift Goucher College to a 2-1 victory at Rosemont Tuesday night in non-conference men's soccer.

• Goucher (3-4-1) had five shots in the first four minutes of the game, with two turned aside by Rosemont (4-3) keeper Todd Berman.
• Drew List (Towson, Md./Calvert Hall) put a header on frame in the 11th minute that was stopped by Berman.
• Gopher goalie Jeff Castro (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) was forced to make his first save of the game just shy of the 17-minute mark.
• Castro made two more first half saves as the teams entered halftime scoreless.

• Castro made his fourth save of the ninth in the 49th minute on an attempt by Rosemont's Clayton Crosse.
• Crosse gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead at 58:50 as he converted a feed from Matthew Pattison.
• Goucher tied the game in the 66th minute as Aidan Spoor (Milton, Del./Cape Henlopen) scored, with List credited with the assist.
• List put another header on frame in the 70th minute that was stopped by Berman.
• Both keepers each made a save over the final 20 minutes as the team's headed to overtime.

• Rosemont had the first shot of overtime at 91:33 but the attempt sailed wide.
• Diabagate scored at the 93:21 mark, with Jeremiah Odubade (Capital Heights, Md./Fairmont Heights) recording the assist.

• Goucher generated a 17-14 shot advantage on the evening.
• Castro finished with five saves en route to the victory, with Berman notching seven stops.
• List led the Gophers with four shots.
• Goucher is now 1-0-1 in overtime games this season.
