Ali Kazim Nakhid Earns Landmark Offensive Weekly Honors

TOWSON, Md. - Senior Ali Kazim Nakhid (Beirut, Lebanon/UMBC) of the Goucher College men's soccer team was named Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Nakhid totaled three goals and an assist in a 2-0-1 week for the Gophers as they remained unbeaten on the season (3-0-2).  He totaled two goals, including a converted penalty kick, in last Monday's 5-3 win over Neumann.  Nakhid converted a penalty kick in his third straight game in a 2-2 tie at Hood Wednesday, then added an assist in a 4-0 win at Wilson on Saturday afternoon.  

On the season Nakhid, a Landmark Second Team selection in 2021, has totaled four goals and two assists.

Goucher returns to action Wednesday night when it hosts McDaniel in a 7 pm contest at Beldon Field.
