Jeremiah Odubade Claims Landmark Conference Weekly Honors
TOWSON, Md. - Junior Jeremiah Odubade (London, England/Fairmont Heights) of the Goucher College men's soccer team was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week Monday afternoon.
Odubade scored the game-winning goal in a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Moravian University that propelled the Gophers to their first Landmark Conference Championship berth since 2014 and second overall. After Moravian scored to take a 1-0 lead eight minutes into the second half, Bobby Beringer (Okinawa, Japan/Richard Montgomery) scored in the 62nd minute before Odubade scored four minutes later to put Goucher in front.
Odubade has appeared in all 17 games and has totaled three goals and three assists for nine points.
9-4-4 overall, Goucher has recorded its most victories since 2006. The third-seeded Gophers travel to second-seeded Elizabethtown for a Landmark Conference semifinal on Wednesday evening at 7 pm.
