River Hawks Score Late in 1-0 Win Over Gophers

TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Susquehanna University scored with just over 12 minutes remaining to post a 1-0 Landmark Conference men's soccer victory over Goucher College Wednesday evening at Beldon Field.

• Goucher's (5-6-2, 1-4 Landmark) Jonathan Alvarado put a shot on goal that was saved by River Hawk (7-4-3, 2-3) keeper Santiago Andino three minutes in.
• Gopher keeper Ale Sternini made his first save in the 16th minute.
• Alvarado put a deep shot in on Andino in the 19th minute that he handled.
• Sternini made a save on a Max Paczewski header with 18 minutes left.
• SU put a shot on goal with five minutes left that was stopped by Sternini.

• Sternini made two saves in a span of 40 seconds early on in the second.
• Alvarado lifted a header high in the 53rd minute.
• With just under 15 minutes to go, Sternini made a save on a John Kuderka shot.
• Tom O'Keefe got the River Hawks on the board with 12:01 left as he scored on a scramble in front of the net on an assist by Josh Higgins.
• With just over five minutes to go, Jonathan Adima sent a header towards goal that was handled by Andino.
• Andino made one final save in the final seconds on a shot by Elliot Bezdek.

• The River Hawks recorded 13 shots and five corner kicks to the Gophers' nine shots and three corners.
• Sternini recorded six saves, while Andino notched four stops en route to the shutout.
• Alvarado led the Gophers with four shots.

• Goucher returns to action Saturday, hosting Drew in a 3:30 contest at Beldon Field.
