During the preliminaries, Taylor was clocked at 8.97 seconds; in the finals, he lowered his time by 5-hundredths of a second to :08.92 to finish in fifth place. Only two of the competitors with faster times, however, were from Division III institutions.
Goucher, which returns here on week from today for the 2016 Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships, also had a finalist in the 60-meter dash. Elton Kativhu (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. Ignatius College) turned in times of :07.29 in the preliminaries and :07.27 in the finals to claim sixth place overall. His time in the finals is the eighth-fastest in the event in program history; his time in the prelims shares the program's No. 9 spot all-time.
Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton) ran the institution's 10th-fastest indoor time for 800 meters at today's meet as he completed the event in 2:06.68, good for 26th place.
There was no team scoring at today's meet.
