MADISON, N.J. – After scoring all three of Goucher's goals in a pair of non-conference victories last week, sophomore midfielder/forward Sisley Pumilia (Chesterfield, N.H./Keene) today was named Offensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference for the seven-day period ending September 21.
It's the second time already this season that the Landmark Conference has recognized Pumilia as her sport's top offensive performer by naming her as the recipient of this weekly honor. She was also Offensive Player of the Week for women soccer for Aug. 25-31.
Last week Pumilia's goal at 30:49 accounted for all of the scoring in a 1-0 triumph over Washington (Md.). Three days later in a 2-0 win over Lancaster Bible, she tallied her team-leading 10th and 11th goals of the season at 67:02 and 79:19, respectively.
Pumilia has scored at least one goal in five of the Gophers' six games this season.
