SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. - The Goucher College women's soccer team (4-4-2, Landmark 0-2-0) fell to the Riverhawks of Susquehanna (10-1-1, Landmark 3-0-0) 1-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Riverhawks took an early lead, 15 minutes into the match, with a goal from senior forward Alyssa Bolger and an assist from junior Emily Sullivan. This was Bolger's sixth goal of the season.
The strong Rierhawks defense held Goucher to a total of nine shots. Three in the first half and six in the second half.
First-year Gopher goalkeeper Christina Charkofsky (Eldersburg, Md.) tallied five save of the six shots she faced. She has totaled 60 saves thus far in the season at a 78.9% save percentage.
Goucher's next game is Wednesday at 7 pm when they travel to Delaware Valley to play the Aggies on Lipinski field.
