BALTIMORE, Md. – Wesley College defeats Goucher College in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday.
Lily Shaffer (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) paced the Gophers with two shots while Christina Charikofsky (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) turned away one shot on the night.
Gracie LeFevre (Glenwood, Md./Glenelg) had her shot saved in the 32nd minute in the first half while Claudia Roller (Tucson, Ariz./Sahuaro) (57th minute), Schaffer (69th minute) and Kendall Belmont (Portland, Ore./David Douglas) (85th minute) had their shots turned away in the second half. Rylee McDonnell (Estell Manor, N.J./Ocean City) had the best run of the night, but her shot went wide in the 65th minute.
Wesley scored three times in the final 41 minutes to earn a 3-0 win.
Goucher returns to action on Saturday when the squad hosts its first Landmark Conference game of the season against the University of Scranton. Match time is 4 p.m.
