TOWSON, Md. - A goal by visiting Hood College with just over 24 minutes remaining lifted it to a 1-0 non-conference women's soccer victory over Goucher College Tuesday evening at Beldon Field in the Gophers' home opener.
- Goucher (0-3-1) had the game's first shot 1:29 in as Jordan Wood popped an attempt over the crossbar.
- In the fourth minute, the Blazers (1-1-2) put a shot on goal that was stopped by Gopher keeper Madison Gutierrez.
- Gutierrez made another save just past the 14-minute mark.
- At 19:57, Wood had a shot on frame stopped by Hood goalie Brenna Ellenberger.
- The Gophers put three more shots on goal in the remainder of the half, with Ellenberger stopping all three.
- Just over nine minutes in Nora Neall sent a shot high off a Gopher corner kick.
- Gutierrez made a save on Katy Przybocki shot with 33 minutes remaining.
- Priya Nair scored her first goal of the season, sending a low shot past Gutierrez to the far right post with 24:13 on the clock.
