SCRANTON, Pa. - The University of Scranton shut out Goucher College for a 3-0 Landmark Conference women's soccer victory Saturday afternoon at Weiss Field.
- Scranton (10-1-2, 4-0 Landmark) scored just 1:29 into the game on a Claire Mullholland goal.
- Goucher (3-6-4, 0-2-2) goalie Madison Gutierrez made her lone save of the first half with just over 11 minutes remaining.
- The Royals made it 2-0 1:55 into the second half on a goal by Mary Haggerty.
- Gutierrez made three saves in the first seven-plus minutes of the second half.
- Mullholland's second goal of the game in the 55th minute increased the lead to 3-0.
- Gutierrez made six more saves the rest of the way.
- Scranton took 33 shots and registered 12 corner kicks on the afternoon.
- Gutierrez made nine saves for the Gophers, while a trio of keepers combined for the shutout for the Royals.
- Scranton won its third straight and remained unbeaten in Landmark play.
- Goucher travels to Susquehanna on Wednesday, October 16 for a 7 pm Landmark Conference contest.
- The Gophers host Drew next Saturday, October 19, at 1 pm at Beldon Field.
