TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Drew University downed Goucher College 3-0 in Landmark Conference women's soccer Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.
- Goucher (3-8-4, 0-4-2 Landmark) goalie Madison Gutierrez made her first save of the game 41 seconds in.
- Alexa Krause scored with a blast from the top of the box in the ninth minute for Drew (7-4-4, 3-1-2) to put the Rangers in front 1-0.
- Gutierrez made saves on two more Krause shots in the next five minutes.
- Sophia Lara made it 2-0 for Drew 3:37 before halftime.
- With two minutes left, Hailey Walker had a shot on goal for the Gophers that was handled by Ranger keeper Sarah Crowley.
- Gutierrez made a save on a Rebecca Racine shot two minutes in
- In the 53rd minute, Krause dribbled in and beat Gutierrez in close to make it 3-0.
- In the 82nd minute Gutierrez made back-to-back saves on Ella Reyngoudt and Sofia Mullen.
- Becca Maddox sent a shot wide for the Gophers with five minutes left.
- Drew outshot Goucher 31-2 and took all 11 of the game's corner kicks.
- Gutierrez made a career-best 16 saves, while Crowley recorded one stop en route to the shutout.
- Krause became the fifth player in Landmark Conference history to reach the 100-point mark with her first goal Saturday.
- Goucher returns to action Wednesday evening when it travels to Catholic University for a 7 pm Landmark Conference contest.
- The Gophers return home and close out the regular season on Saturday, November 2 when they host Wilkes at 1 pm at Beldon Field.
