WASHINGTON, D.C. - Host Catholic University scored three goals in a three-minute span midway through the first half as it went on to defeat Goucher College 6-0 in Landmark Conference women's soccer Wednesday evening at Carlini Field.
- Goucher (3-9-4, 0-5-2 Landmark) goalie Madison Gutierrez made her first save 2:19 into the game.
- After two more Gutierrez saves, Catholic (6-6-3, 2-3-2 Landmark) got on the board on a Isabel Doherty goal in the 16th minute.
- The Cardinals scored three times in a span of three minutes to go up 4-0 in the 28th minute on Ava Gregorio's tally.
- Peyton Coron had the Cardinals' second and third goals.
- Alex Berish closed out the first half scoring 3:09 before halftime.
- Gutierrez had three saves in the first 13 minutes of the second half.
- In the 65th minute, Gutierrez stopped a Coron attempt.
- Jordan Wood had a shot saved by Catholic goalie Ava Rieger in the 70th minute.
- Kelsie Price closed out the scoring for the Cardinals in the 75th minute.
