ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Elizabethtown College scored three times in the second half en route to a 4-0 victory over Goucher College in Landmark Conference women's soccer Saturday afternoon at Herr Field.
- Goucher (3-10-4, 0-6-2 Landmark) goalie Madison Gutierrez made her first save a minute into the game.
- Ashley Schwartz had a shot go left 1:31 in.
- Elizabethtown (9-3-4, 4-1-3) put another shot on Gutierrez in the sixth minute.
- The Gophers' Jordan Wood lifted a shot high in the 11th minute.
- Ava Whitsten scored in the 17th minute to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead.
- Wood had a shot saved by Etown keeper Ella Smith 12 minutes before halftime.
- Gutierrez recorded a total of seven first half saves.
- The Blue Jays' first shot on goal of the second half came 2:27 in, which was saved by Gutierrez.
- Etown was awarded a penalty kick at the 56:39 mark, which Kirsten Navich converted to make it 2-0.
- 34 seconds later, Navich scored on an assist by Maddie McWhinney to up the lead to 3-0.
- Skylar Mumford closed out the scoring for the hosts in the 74th minute.
- Etown outshot Goucher 35-7 and had six corners to the Gophers' one.
- Gutierrez played the first 57:13 in goal and made nine saves, before Emma Boyles stepped in and made one save the rest of the way.
- Nora Neall led Goucher with three shots.
- Four Etown goalies combined for the shutout.
