Women's Soccer Set to Begin Season at Home
BALTIMORE, MD - The Goucher Women's Soccer team, under Angela Amato in her first year, are set to begin their season at home on Beldon Field. The women are set to play 17 games, where they host seven.
The team opens against McDaniel on Friday, August 29th at 7pm. The women then travel to Marywood two days later for a 4pm match. Competition in September kicks off for the Gophers with their Faculty/Staff Appreciation game on the 3rd, when they face Marymount at 4pm. The Gopher women then face six teams on the road. This begins with Notre Dame (MD) on September 6th, followed by Hood on the 9th at 6pm. During this stretch, the women have a break between competitions, where they will see action against Eastern on Saturday, September 20th at 1pm.
Landmark Conference play begins against Drew University on Saturday, September 27th at 1pm. The extended road trip is capped by the teams first compeition of October, where they compete against York College at 7pm on the 1st of the month.
The women return home to face Scranton to resume conference play, on Saturday, October 4th. This will take place during the college's Blue and Gold Weekend. Of their final seven matches, the women will host four of them. This includes ending the season with their Senior Day celebration on October 25th, and their final match versus Susquehanna three days later.
