COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Marisa Long (Hampton
Bays, NY/Sachem) produced all four of the the points
Goucher was able to secure today at the Winter Invitational.
Long earned four points by placing fifth in the 800-meter run. She
completed the event in 2:37.13.
The four points allowed Goucher to finish in 16th place in the
final team scoring. The event drew athletes from 18 different
schools, including three Division I institutions.
Although she didn't finish in the top eight in the event,
Sheba Newman-Blount (Lanham, MD/Bishop Ireton) ran
the third-fastest indoor 200-meter dash in the history of Goucher's
women's track and field program as she was clocked at
:29.14.
