Goucher Has 7 Top-10 Finishes at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Goucher's track and field program traveled to Muhlenberg College and competed in their third meet of the season. The Gophers' seven top-10 finishes at the invitational were:

• Sophomore Natalie Kent (Media, Pa.) and sophomore Taylor Gunter (Laurel, Md.) finished in fourth place and fifth place in the shot put, throwing 10.85m and 10.66m. Kent also placed seventh in the discus, throwing 33.34m.
• Sophomore Darby Bauer (Perkiomenville, Pa.) finished ninth in the discus, throwing for a high of 37.37m. Bauer also placed ninth in the javelin, throwing 38.02m. Bauer broke one of Goucher's oldest records in the discus, held by Steve Krumpbek since 2003.
• First-year Devon Esslinger (Las Cruces, N.M.) placed sixth in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 18.08.
• The women 4x100 meter relay team placed sixth, with a team consisteing of Enid Swatson (Accra, Ghana), Kent, Gabby Blazek (New Orleans, La.), and Anna Gallina (Whitehall Pa.), finishing with a time of 53.29.
