Sophomore Greta Coss (Bowie, Md.) of the Goucher College volleyball team led the Gopher attack in a come-from-behind, five set victory this past Saturday at Alvernia, and for her efforts, she was named the Goucher Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 14, 2018.
In the win on the road, Coss slammed home a game-high 18 kills (while collecting 19 digs for a double-double) in a victory that saw the Gophers come back from a 2-0 deficit. The win was also Goucher's 10th of the 2018 season, marking the first time since 2015 that the Gophers have won double-digit games in a season.
For the year, Coss has posted a team-best 219 kills, good enough for a 3.32 kill per set average. She's also posted 142 digs (2.15 per set), 15 total blocks and 15 service aces, as well. In the Landmark Conference, Coss' kills per set average is third best overall, while her total kill mark is 11th best.
