Bio

Butcher, originally from El Cajon, California, was a standout for the successful Goucher women's lacrosse and field hockey teams of the mid-1990s.  In women's lacrosse Butcher earned third team All-America honors in 1996 in goal, recording 262 saves and a .593 save percentage for the Gopher squad that reached the NCAA Division III Final Four.  A two-time All-Region and two-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection, Butcher ranks second in program history with 656 career saves, while her .601 save percentage is No. 3 in the program record books.  In field hockey Butcher earned First Team All-Conference accolades in 1996 and totaled a goal and 10 assists for 12 points along with 15 defensive saves in her career.
