Four Gophers Honored on All-Landmark Indoor T&F Team
The 4x200 relay team of Ogemdi Chukwu, Xavier Coggeshall, Gunther Wallach and Miles Taylor earned Second Team All-Landmark honors for their performance at the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend.
TOWSON, MD – The 4x200 relay team of Ogemdi Chukwu, Xavier Coggeshall, Gunther Wallach and Miles Taylor earned Second Team All-Landmark honors for their performance at the Landmark Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend.
The relay team of sprinters posted yet another school record in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:35.54 after setting the standard only a week prior (1:37.16). The Gophers were seeded third heading into the relay, but shaved 1.62 seconds off their season best and earned silver at the season-ending event.
In addition to earning Second Team honors in the 4x200 relay, Chukwu earned All-Landmark Second Team honors in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.91. In the preliminaries, he cut .04 second off his previous personal best and set another Goucher school record in the event with a time of 8.66 seconds.
The Gophers completed their indoor season on Saturday, but return to action on March 18th when they travel to Mary Washington University for the first outdoor meet of the year.
