Landmark Names Hill to All-Conference Second Team
The Landmark Conference announced the All-Conference Team today, including junior Corey Hill (Emmaus, Pa.) to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team Defense.
TOWSON, Md. – Junior Corey Hill (Emmaus, Pa.) has been named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team Defense following his performance during the 2017 season.
Hill, a second-year player for the Gophers, played in and started all 14 games for Goucher during the 2017 season. He was the anchor to a Gopher defense that allowed only 8.67 goals per game in conference play, including two games where the Gophers held their opponents to five goals or less.
He ended the year with 17 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers – second most on the team in both categories. He also pitched in with his first career assist in the 10-4 win over Susquehanna at home, which was a turning point for the Gophers who played the remainder of the season with more confidence – taking two tournament teams to overtime.
Hill is the 47th Gopher on the men's lacrosse team to earn All-Landmark Conference honors in nine years.
The All-Landmark Conference Team is selected by the coaches and celebrates the successes of our student-athletes in and out of conference play.
