Equestrian's Cary Hundley Named Goucher Athlete of the Week
TOWSON Md. – After leading the equestrian team to a fourth-place finish in the Tournament of Champions show series, senior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md.) has been named the Goucher College Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 29, 2018.
TOWSON Md. – After leading the equestrian team to a fourth-place finish in the Tournament of Champions show series, senior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md.) has been named the Goucher College Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 29, 2018.
On Saturday, Goucher participated in the final Tournament of Champions show of the year hosted by SCAD-Savannah in Georgia, and Hundley continued her great season to date with a trio of high finishes. In helping the Gophers finish 10th overall in the show, Hundley finished fourth in Open Fences and registered two fifth places finishes in Open Flat and High Medal, as well.
With their 10th place finish, Goucher was able to finish in fourth overall in the Tournament of Champions Series (three shows in all). Goucher only trailed national contenders SCAD, Mt. Holyoke, and Randolph in the final standings, and was able to best schools such as Penn State, Emory and Henry and Findlay in the series, as well.
