Hurricane Florence Alters Gophers' Weekend Schedule
As Hurricane Florence barrels into the Carolina coast over the next few days, a few of Goucher College's athletic teams have had their upcoming schedules altered due to the projected path of the storm into the Mid-Atlantic area by this weekend.

As Hurricane Florence barrels into the Carolina coast over the next few days, a few of Goucher College's athletic teams have had their upcoming schedules altered due to the projected path of the storm into the Mid-Atlantic area by this weekend.
Here are the schedule changes, so far (UPDATED: 9/12, 9 AM)
- The Gophers' women's tennis 2018-19 season opener which was set for Friday at home against Stockton has been canceled.
- The Goucher volleyball tri-match scheduled with both Hollins and Trinity Washington has also been canceled, as Hollins will not be able to make the trip north to Towson due to the storm. The Gophers will now just play a single match with Trinity Washington on Saturday inside the Decker SRC Arena beginning at 12 p.m.
- Goucher field hockey's scheduled match at Randolph-Macon for Saturday has been postponed.
- Goucher women's soccer's match at Mary Washington scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
