Threat Of Impending Weather Wipes Out Goucher Athletics Schedule For Saturday

TOWSON, Md. – Sports is a competitive battle with an outcome of a win or a loss and Goucher College's athletic schedule could not win the battle with an impending storm scheduled to come into the Mid-Atlantic area on Saturday. All events have been postponed for Saturday.

The Gophers men's and women's basketball Landmark Conference doubleheader against Moravian College, originally scheduled for Saturday at 12 and 2 p.m., have been moved to Monday at the Decker Sports And Recreation Center with the women scheduled to tipoff at 3 p.m. and the men to follow at approximately 5 p.m. 

The Goucher men's and women's swimming teams originally had a swim meet scheduled at Susquehanna University on Saturday. UPDATE: The meet has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 22 and will start at 5 p.m.

Due to travel issues, the Gophers men's and women's track and field team will not be able to travel to the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday. The squad returns to action on Saturday, January 26 at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason.
