2023-24 All-Goucher Team: Second Team
TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College athletic department recently announced its 2023-24 All-Goucher Team. The All-Goucher Team, established in 2010-11, is selected by a panel of coaches and administrators and represents the 10 most distinguished athletes and most outstanding coach during an academic year.
The All-Goucher Team First Team will be profiled later this week.
Comprising the 2023-24 All-Goucher Team Second Team:
Lucy Ingraham, first year, women's tennis (Honolulu, Hawai'i / Punahou School)
Ingraham finished Landmark Conference Second Team in singles and Second Team in doubles with Jessica Townes. In singles Ingraham posted a 10-7 overall record and 6-2 Landmark record, while in doubles play she and Townes finished 6-0 in the league and 8-3 overall.
Unai Laguardia Alvarez, first year, men's tennis (La Paz, Spain / IES Marques de Vilena)
Laguardia Alvarez finished Second Team singles in the Landmark Conference for the conference champion Gophers. He was 4-4 at No. 1 singles for Goucher, and was also named Landmark Championship MVP after clinching the title match against Drew with his singles win.
Jacob Morgan, sophomore, men's basketball/lacrosse (Bowie, Md./Bowie)
Morgan earned Landmark All-Conference honors in two sports for Goucher. He was the leading scorer on the men's basketball team that made its first-ever Landmark playoff appearance, earning Honorable Mention All-Conference. In lacrosse Morgan was a Second Team All-Conference selection after leading the Gophers in scoring for the second straight season.
Iseline Schenk, sophomore, women's golf/field hockey (Bergen, Netherlands / Murmellius Gymnasuim)
Schenk earned Second Team All-Landmark for the women's golf team as she finished eighth to lead the Gophers to a fourth-place finish. Schenk averaged 88.8 and recorded four top-10 finishes. She also had five assists in 11 games for the field hockey team.
Evan Yue, graduate student, men's golf (Beijing, China / IMG Academy)
Yue wrapped up his career with his third straight Landmark All-Conference performance, earning Second Team honors after tying for 10th at the conference championship. He led the Gophers with a 75.5 scoring average, the third-lowest single season average in the seven-year history of the program.
