ST. MARY'S CITY, MD — Danielle Marks (Dover,
PA/Dover Area) and Kelsey Havens (Catonsville,
MD/Catonsville) were both selected to represent Goucher on
the 2006 All-Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Team, which
was revealed today.
In balloting by the conference's seven head coaches, Marks and
Havens, two of the three seniors on Goucher's 2006 roster, were
voted onto the All-CAC second team at midfielder and forward,
respectively.
Both players started all 15 games for the Gophers in 2006. Marks,
an All-CAC second-team selection for the second year in a row, made
two defensive saves in 2006, one in Goucher's 2-1 (OT) loss to
Philadelphia Biblical and the other against Salisbury in the
opening round of the CAC championship tournament. Havens tallied
the Gophers' only goal against Philadelphia Biblical and made two
defensive saves in a 6-0 loss to Catholic.
