SCRANTON, Pa. – Goucher College falls to the University of Scranton 2-1 in Landmark Conference field hockey action on Saturday.
Mia Wiggins (San Diego, Calif./University City) scored unassisted in the third quarter at the 43:30 mark to cut the margin in half. It was her fourth tally of the season and the first since she posted two goals and three assists against Ferrum on September 8. The sophomore ranks third on the team with four tallies and five assists for 13 points.
Devin Brashear (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual) made a season-high 11 saves in the loss. It was the second time this season she has reached double figures in saves and the fourth time in her career.
Goucher returns to action on Tuesday at home against Hood. Match time is 7 p.m.
