BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College falls to Susquehanna University in Landmark Conference field hockey action on Saturday.
Ari Hooper (San Diego, Calif./Poway) scored for the Gophers while Devin Brashear (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual) made three saves in 33 minutes of work.
In Goucher's seven wins this season, Hooper has had either a goal or an assist in those matches. The junior scored unassisted at the 44:25 mark off a Madi Resolme (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte) feeder to notch her first tally this season in a losing effort.
Hooper leads the team with 10 goals and six assists for 26 points this season while she has 13 tallies and 10 helpers for 36 points in her career. Resolme now has a goal and three assists for five points.
The River Hawks scored twice in the first quarter, once in the second quarter, three times in the third period and twice in the fourth quarter to earn an 8-1 win.
Goucher heads to Elizabethtown for its final road game of the season on October 26. Game time is 1 p.m. The Gophers defeated the Blue Jays 2-1 in overtime last season.
