ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Goucher College drops a Landmark Conference field hockey match at Elizabethtown College on Saturday.
Danielle Johnson (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) scored a goal for the Gophers while Devin Brashear (Escondido, Calif./San Pasqual) made six saves in the loss.
Johnson scored unassisted at 20:16 for Goucher's lone goal of the afternoon. The senior notched her first tally since the conference-opening win against Drew on September 28. She ranks second on the team with nine goals and four assists for 22 points. For her career, Johnson has 10 tallies and five assists for 25 points with all of her offense coming in the last two seasons.
Johnson will be one of six Goucher seniors playing in their final game on Saturday, November 2 against Moravian College. Match time is 1 p.m. Nolwenn Daniels (Newark, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech), Meghan Oakes (Boothbay, Maine/Boothbay Region), Alexyss Pawlak (Huntington Beach, Calif./Edison) and Madi Resolme (San Diego, Calif./Del Notre) will be honored along with Johnson in a pregame ceremony.
Last season, the Gophers shocked the Blue Jays on senior day at Beldon Field with a 2-1 overtime win. Elizabethtown scored a goal each quarter to earn a 4-1 win in 2019.
