Hooper Named To Field Hockey All-Landmark Conference Second Team
BALTIMORE, Md. – Ari Hooper (San Diego, Calif./Poway), a member of the Goucher College field hockey team, has been selected to the All-Landmark Conference second team. It is the junior's first all-conference selection.
Hooper led the team with 10 goals and six assists for 26 points. She ranked third in the conference in assists and fourth in both goals and points. The junior scored in seven matches this season with the team going 6-1 in those contests and also registered an assist in another Gopher victory. She tallied a career-high two goals and one assist against Ferrum (September 8) and Hood (October 8) and also had a two-goal performance against Transylvania (September 1) and a tally and a career-best two assists against Southern Virginia (September 7).
Hooper, who was named the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Athlete of the Week for the first weekend of the season, has 13 goals and 10 assists for 36 points in her career.
Hooper becomes the 16th player to earn All-Landmark Conference recognition and the first since former teammate Maya Belin was honored last season. Hooper becomes the 14th player to earn a second-team nod since 2009. Goucher also had 51 players (21 first team, 30 second team) receive All-Capital Athletic Conference honors from 1991-2008.
Goucher finished the second season under head coach Stacey Eversley 7-10 overall.
