BALTIMORE, MD. - A pair of early goals could not keep the Gophers from falling 3 - 2 to the visiting Richard Stockton Ospreys.
Senior Rachel Crain struck within the first few minutes of play to net the first goal of the game off an assist from senior Annie Carter. The goal was followed shortly thereafter by a strike from sophomore Jackie Juarez off a long ball from junior Emily Jewell.
That would be the last time the Gophers would be able to find the back of the net, as Stockton climbed back into the game, scoring three goals over the course of the next 60 minutes.
"Obviously, we are disappointed by our effort and energy today," said Coach Megan Williams. "We are a better team than what we produced this afternoon."
