ALLENTOWN, Pa. - On Saturday night the Gophers took on Muhlenberg College on their home turf and lost the non-conference matchup 82-69.
There were multiple lead changes in this contest, but ultimately Goucher couldn't fend off the offensive efforts made by the Muhlenberg Mules.
Despite a crushing loss, junior Dwayne Morton (Waynesville, Mo.) scored 33% of Goucher's overall points in the contest. Morton tallied 23 points across ten field goals - of which one was a 3-pointer - and two free throws. Morton was also the only Goucher player named to the all-tournament team.
Trailing behind Morton as the second-highest scorer was freshman Cameron Isaacs (Owings Mills, Md.) with 18 total points. Isaacs went 1-4 in three-pointers, made 7 other baskets, and sunk his only free throw of the night.
The Gophers will be back in action on November 28 at Salisbury for a non-conference matchup at 7:30 PM.
