TOWSON, Md. - On Thursday night the Gophers welcomed the McDaniel College Green Terror for a non-conference contest and ultimately suffered their greatest loss this season with a deficit of 44 points.
Although Goucher tried to fight off the Green Terror, it was too difficult to close the gap after an opening half saw McDaniel go 10-15 from beyond the arc for a staggering 30 points.
Freshman starter Cameron Isaacs (Owings Mills, Md.) led the team in points, tallying 11 throughout the match. Freshman player Kevin Bell (Frederick, Md.) saw his first action as a Gopher on the day and racked up 4 rebounds to lead the team in that category.
Senior Uvan Stewart (Frederick, Md.) put up a season-high 7 points. Stewart previously averaged only 1.5 points per game. Sophomore Timmy O'Farrell (Davidsonville, Md.) also made an impressive achievement, turning this game into his sixth-straight match where he's sunk at least one three-pointer.
The Gophers will be back in action on Saturday, January 2, when they welcome the Susquehanna River Hawks for a Landmark Conference matchup.
