SELINGROVE, Pa. – Goucher College drops a Landmark Conference men's basketball game against Susquehanna University on Saturday.
Cameron Isaacs (Owings Mills, Md./Randallstown) paced the Gophers with 15 points. The freshman connected on 5 of 10 shots from the floor, 1 of 3 from behind the arc and 4 of 7 from the charity stripe. It is the freshman's second-highest point total of the season after posting a career-high 18 points against Muhlenberg on November 17. He has posted double figures in points in six of his last 11 games and is averaging 11.0 points per game in that stretch.
Dwayne Morton (Waynesville, Mo./Waynesville) added 11 points. Morton has scored double figures in consecutive games, six of his last seven and 13 times in his junior campaign.
Susquehanna jumped out to a 12-2 lead with 16:11 left in the first half. Gabe Ceribelli (Monkton, Md./Hereford) and Morton hit back-to-back treys to cut it to a 12-8 deficit. The Riverhawks then scored the next seven points to take a 19-8 advantage. With Susquehanna holding a 27-19 margin with 5:53 left in the opening period, the Riverhawks scored 15 of the final 23 points to take a 42-27 lead going into the locker room.
Susquehanna used a 31-23 second half to earn a 73-50 win.
Ceribelli finished with eight points.
Goucher returns to action on Wednesday at Juniata College. Tipoff is 7 p.m.
