Goucher Men's Basketball Player Gabe Ceribelli Named To The NABC Honors Court For Second-Straight Year
BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College men's basketball 2019 graduate Gabe Ceribelli (Monkton, Md./Hereford) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for the talent and gift he possess on the court and the hard work exhibited in the classroom.
"I'm very happy for Gabe to be recognized for the second straight year on the NABC Honors Court," said Goucher men's basketball head coach Tom Rose. "As a program we're proud of his commitment in both academics and basketball. As a senior student-athlete he represented our program very well and this recognition acknowledges all of his hard work on and off the court."
Ceribelli, who was named to the Honors Court for the second-straight year, graduated in May with a degree in economics and grade-point average of 3.37 to earn a spot on the NABC Honors Court. To be eligible for the court, a student-athlete must be academically a junior or senior and a varsity player, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year and a member of the NCAA Division I, II or III with a NABC member coach.
Ceribelli scored a team-high 13 points in his final game against Scranton on February 16 after connecting on 4 of 8 from the field and from behind the arc along with a 1 of 2 from the foul line. He also added five rebounds, two steals and one assist. Ceribelli appeared in 45 games including 28 starts while registering 422 points, 161 rebounds, 72 assists, 64 steals and seven blocks in his two years with the Gophers. He has scored double figures 13 times in his senior campaign and 20 times in his career with two 20-point performances including a career-high 23 points against Catholic earlier as a senior. He also ranked second on the team with 11.3 points per game in his senior campaign.
