WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Goucher College drops an exhibition game at NCAA Division I William & Mary in non-conference men's basketball action on Sunday. Due to NCAA rules, the statistics only counted for the Tribe.
Dwayne Morton (Baltimore, Md./Waynesville [Mo.]) paced the Gophers with 10 points while Axel Seka (Frederick, Md./Urbana) added nine points.
Morton ranks second on the team with 10.0 points per game while Pat Goralski (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) leads the squad with 10.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Counting the two exhibition games, Seka is averaging 8.0 points per game in his last four contests.
The Gophers will now set their sites in two games in Florida at the West Palm Beach Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Goucher will open the tournament against host Oglethorpe University on Friday, who come into the game 3-5 and losers in four of its last five games.
William & Mary outscored the Gophers 44-18 and 42-12 to earn the 90-30 victory.
Goucher heads to the Sunshine State to face Oglethorpe on Friday. Game time is 5 p.m. Jeff Klein, a member of the 1994-95 team that defeated Lebanon Valley for the college's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament win will serve as guest coach for one of games during the two-day tournament.
