Goucher Men's Basketball Drops Conference Game Against Elizabethtown
BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College drops a Landmark Conference men's basketball contest to Elizabethtown College on Wednesday.
Cam Isaacs (Randallstown, Md./Randallstown) paced the Gophers with 15 points. The sophomore made five shots from the floor, three from behind the arc and went 2-for-2 from the free throw line while also adding four assists and two rebounds. Isaacs has scored in a career-high six-consecutive games and is averaging 14.8 points per game in that stretch. He has registered 10 double-figure point games in 2019-20 and has 20 in his career. The four assists are a season high while its the seventh time in his career he has dished out at least four helpers
Timmy O'Farrell (Davidsonville, Md./Archbishop Spalding) added 13 points. The junior has scored double figures in three of his last four contests including his season high on Wednesday. O'Farrell is averaging 9.8 points per game in that span. It is the third time this season he has scored 10+ points and the eighth time in his career.
Josh Lichti (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg) handed the Gophers a 3-2 lead 30 seconds into the contest. The Gophers then trailed for the rest of the first half, but maintain a six-point margin or less until the Blue Jays closed the stanza by scoring 19 of the final 32 points to go into the locker room trailing 39-29. Elizabethtown then used a 47-35 second half to earn an 86-64 win.
Lichti finished the game with six points and seven rebounds. Pat Goralski added nine points, five rebounds and three assists.
Dwayne Morton (Baltimore, Md./Waynesville [Mo.]) posted eight points to move to within 48 points of 1,000 for his career. The senior can move into 10th place on the program's all-time career point list with 27 points.
