Gophers Defeated by The RiverHawks After Close Second Half

Towson, Md.- Gophers (4-16 overall, 3-10 Landmark) fall to the RiverHawks (12-8 overall, 9-4 Landmark) of Susquehanna in tonights confrence match-up. Goucher hosted and had a competitive second half comeback but Susquehanna clinched the win 90-82.

• Gophers started strong with four consecutive 3-point shots. One by Darnell Morris Jr. and Darrell Green. Two shots by John Dixon.
• 3-point shots kept the Gophers ahead with shot by Jack Murdaugh and Morris Jr. with (11:41) remaining. 
• RiverHawks went on a six point scoring streak to tie the game with (5:41) left in the half. 
• Timi Akisanya helped fend off the Riverhawks with a 2-pointer with a (1:32). 
• Susquehanna takes the lead at the end of the half 42-38.

• RiverHawks start the scoring with two consecutive 2-point shots in the first two minutes. 
• Brian Griffin shoots a 3-pointer chiping at the RiverHawk's lead with (17:10) remaining.
• Susquehanna goes on a five point scoring run stopped by Morris Jr. 
• Gophers rally with two consecutive 2-pointers by Morris Jr. and Griffin with (1:00) remaining. 
• Riverhawks maintain their lead winning 90-82.

• Morris Jr. was the highest scorer for the Gophers with 27 points and completed four rebounds. 
• Dixon was the second highest scorer for the Gophers with 23 points and making seven 3-point shots. 
• Gophers shot 50% overall and shot 15-29 from beyond the arc. They forced six turnovers resulting in seven points.
• RiverHawks shot 52.2% overall and shot 6-20 beyond the arc. They forced eight turnovers resulting in 11 points.
