Bio

  • Begins seventh season at his alma mater in 2021-22
  • Posted 25 wins as a head coach at Goucher
  • Milestone wins: (1) vs. Rochester Institute of Technology, 11-14-15; (25) vs. Catholic, 2-19-20
  • Coached two All-Landmark Conference second-team selections and one 1,000-point scorer

  • Served as boys basketball head coach at Lady of Mount Carmel High School
    in Middle River, Md. from 2002-2015
  • Posted a 218-162 record as head coach at Lady of Mount Carmel
  • Guided Lady of Mount Carmel to the MIAA postseason in 10 of his 13 seasons
    and reached the conference championship game five times
  • Coached a First Team All-Metro selection, a Baltimore County Player of the Year,
    three All-Baltimore County players, 11 All-MIAA selections and nine players
    who received All-Baltimore Catholic League honors
  • Named the 2006-07 Baltimore Sun Baltimore County Coach of the Year
  • Served as Goucher College men’s basketball associate head coach from 1995-2002
  • Assisted the Gophers to Capital Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III Tournament berths twice
  • Coached three All-Capital Conference first team and three second team selections
    and two Capital Player of the Years
  • Served as the head freshman and assistant varsity head coach at Calvert Hall College from 1993-95

  • Graduated from Goucher College with a BA in Communications in 1995
    and received his Master’s Degree of Educationin Athletic Administration and Leadership in 2000
  • Started his collegiate career at Anne Arundel Community College and was a starter in 1990-91
    for the Riverhawks team that was ranked as high as No. 2 in NJCAA Division III
  • Transferred to Goucher and played two seasons on the men’s basketball team
    and three seasons on the men’s lacrosse team
  • Served as team captain for the Gophers men’s basketball team in his senior year
    and named to the All-Capital Conference second team in 1994

  • Married April Simonsen, a Goucher 1996 graduate and former Goucher student-athlete
    and men’s basketball assistant coach, who were married in Goucher’s Haebler Chapel
  • The couple has three daughters Allison, Julie and Grace
