In cold, windy conditions at the Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J., the Goucher College men's golf team placed eighth overall on the weekend in a event that wrapped up on Sunday afternoon.
Overall, the Gophers posted a two-day total score of 657 (354-323) to place eighth. Host NYU was the winner of the Invitational, carding a two-day score of 603 (298-305).
Indvidually, first-year Steph Lee (Manalapan, N.J.) was Goucher's top finisher on the weekend, as he posted two rounds below 80 to finish in a tie for 14th overall (79-78). Elsewhere, fellow first-year Roberto Mikse (Fort Worth, Texas) finished in a tie for 28th (84-80), and first-year Evan Yue (Beijing, China) placed in a tie for 33rd (86-80) to round out the top finishers in the event for the Gophers.
The Goucher College men's golf team returns to action on Tuesday, April 17 as they head back to the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa. for an event hosted by Thomas Jefferson University.
