On the weekend, the Gophers, who are finishing up their first year as an intercollegiate program, look to duplicate the success they had in Moosic a few weeks ago, when they finished fifth as a team at the Glenmaura National Invitational. There, the Gophers bested three other Landmark Conference teams, including the host University of Scranton (by 32 shots).
Individually in the event, first-year Steph Lee (Manalapan, N.J.) found himself in the lead after the first round after firing a one-under 70. He, however, fell back in the field after posting an 81 on Monday, but he still registered a top ten finish with a two-day total of 151 (+10).
