Men’s Golf Clings to One Shot Lead After First Round of Landmark Conference Championship

The Gophers hold a slim one-shot lead over second place Moravian after the opening round, with Goucher finishing with a score of 315 on Saturday and Moravian finishing at 316. Scranton is third entering Sunday with a score of 328 as a team.
Individually, a pair of Gophers share the lead after the first round. First-years Steph Lee (Manalapan, N.J.) and Roberto Mikse (Fort Worth, Texas) both fired a pair of six-over 77's on the day to share the individual lead.
Meanwhile, fellow first-year Evan Yue (Beijing, China) is in a tie for eighth place overall after carding a first round score of 80, while first-year Joe Burns (Kinnelon, N.J.) rounds out the top finishers in round one with an 81, putting him alone in 12th place.
The Goucher College men's golf team finishes up action at the 2018 Landmark Conference Championship on Sunday, with tee times beginning at 11:30 a.m., weather permitting.
