BALIMORE, Md. – The defending Landmark Conference Goucher College men's golf team will receive its championships rings during a halftime ceremony of the Gophers men's lacrosse game against Susquehanna University on Saturday. The men's lacrosse game starts at 1 p.m.
Goucher took a one-stroke lead after the first round at the Glenmaura National Country Club in the 2018 Landmark Conference Championships after shooting a 315 in the opening round. The Gophers shot a 334 in the final round to finish with a two-round score of 649, three strokes ahead of the University of Scranton to claim the conference crown in the program's first season.
Four of the five Goucher players finished in the Top-10 with Steph Lee leading the way with a third-place finish after carding a 160 in the tournament. Roberto Mikse placed fifth (161) while Evan Yue was seventh (164) and Joe Burns placed ninth (165). Wade Howard finished 11th (167) to round out the Gophers players.

The team placed 35th in their first exposure to the national stage.
Goucher, who was selected as the Landmark Conference preseason favorite, will look to defend its title at the Landmark Conference Championships at the Dauphin Highlands in Harrisburg, Pa., on May 4-5.
Both the Gophers men's and women's golf teams will be back in action when they host the Goucher Spring Invitational at the Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, Md., on Sunday.
