Men's Golf Takes Second at Landmark Preview
SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. - The Goucher College men's golf team finished second out of nine teams at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort Saturday and Sunday. The Gophers posted a 301 on Saturday and a 310 on Sunday for a two-day score of 611. The Gophers finished 24 shots behind Drew University (587), with Catholic University and Moravian University (625) tying for third.
Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort will host the 2024 Landmark Men's Golf Championship on April 27-28, 2024.
Evan Yue led the Gophers with a two-day score of 145 as he finished tied for second. Yue and Mike Ford of Drew finished five shots behind medalist Elliot Parker of Drew. Yue carded a 73 on Saturday and an even-par 72 on Sunday, finishing Sunday's round with two birdies and two bogeys.
Andy Hill Garcia and Riley Ruby finished tied for 13th overall as they finished at 156 for the tournament. Ruby shot an opening round 75, while Garcia recorded rounds of 77 and 79.
Khai Buttner shot a 76 in the opening round and finished tied for 17th with a two-day score of 159. Tyler Lynch improved by four shots on Sunday to register a 78 and finished at 160 for the tournament, good for 23rd.
The Landmark Fall Preview wraps up the fall portion of Goucher's season.
