Garcia Leads Gophers at The Gauntlet
LEWISBURG, Pa. - Junior Andy Hill Garcia led the Goucher College men's golf team with a two-day score of 147 as the Gophers opened their season at The Gauntlet at Bucknell Golf Club on Sunday and Monday. Goucher finished 13th in a strong field of 14 teams with a score of 615.
Garcia carded a 74 on Sunday and a 73 on Monday to finish seven-over on the par-70 course. He posted a pair of birdies during round two Monday. Garcia finished tied for 19th in the field of 75.
Sophomore Riley Ruby inproved by two shots on Monday to shoot 76 and finish at 154 for the tournament, coming in tied for 47th. Classmate Mikolaj Pula, who had a hole-in-one in Sunday's opening round, shot 81 on Monday and finished at 156.
After an opening round 76, Tyler Lynch finished at 158 for the tournament, while Gidi Katz checked in with a two-day total of 168.
The Goucher B team is in action Saturday and Sunday at the Cardinal Classic at Black Rock Golf Club in Hagerstown, Md.
