Gophers Tie For Fourth at Dickinson Fall Invitational
CARLISLE, Pa. - The Goucher College men's golf team tied for fourth place out of 19 teams at the Dickinson Fall Invitational at Carlisle Barracks Golf Course on Monday.
The Gophers finished at 303 overall to tie with Albright College. Division II Millersville University took the top spot with a score of 292, followed by a pair of entries by the host Red Devils, Dickinson "C" (300) and Dickinson (302).
Sophomores Riley Ruby and Tyler Lynch tied for eighth place on the par-72, 6670-yard course with a score of two-over 74. The pair finished seven shots back of medalist Timothy Peters of Millersville and two shots back of a three-way tie for second at even-par 72.
Mikolaj Pula tied for 27th with a five-over 77 in the tightly-packed field of 98. Gidi Katz finished one shot back of Pula at 78 and tied for 36th, while Andy Hill Garcia rounded out the Gopher finishers with a score of 80.
Goucher's 303 matches its lowest round of the season to date.
The Gophers return to action on Thursday with the B team competing at The Battle at Berkleigh in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The next tournament after that is Monday, September 30 at the Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Maryland.
