Katz Leads Gopher B Team at Battle at Berkleigh
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Senior Gidi Katz shot a two-over 74 to lead the Goucher College men's golf B team to a tie for eighth place out of 14 teams at The Battle at Berkleigh at Berkleigh Golf Club Thursday afternoon. The Gophers finished with a score of 320.
Katz finished tied for seventh with three other players, seven shots behind medalist Jake Rotelle of Lancaster Bible who checked in at -5. He finished with one birdie on the par-5 18th and registered three bogeys during his round.
Junior Andy Hill Garcia carded a 78 to place tied for 24th in the field of 72. First years Mattias Hammendorp and Samuel Tyson each turned in rounds of 79, with Tyson competing as an individual.
Zeer Vittadanont registered an 89, while Sulien Bromley rounded out the Gopher finishers with a 90.
The Goucher men's golf team is back in action Monday when it competes in the Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club in Upperco, Maryland.
